French Montana faced backlash for releasing multiple versions of his album, including acapella, instrumental, and sped-up versions, along with a “Versions” version containing 126 songs, confusing fans.

Twitter user Dro accused him of a vinyl records scam, where $5 vinyls sold in a promotion were not delivered to many buyers, with packages ending up in different states.

Despite aiming for 56K units sold in the first week, French sold only 34K, landing him in 14th place on the Billboard charts. Speculations suggest the 20K dip in sales was due to the vinyls’ disqualification, but Billboard has not commented on the issue.
