Just as Kendrick Lamar had the internet reeling from his surprise album GNX, Drake dropped a bombshell of his own: not a track, but a lawsuit. Twice, in fact. The Toronto megastar has taken legal action against Universal Music Group (UMG), accusing the label of orchestrating a scheme to inflate streams for Kendrick’s Not Like Us – a diss track so sharp it reportedly left the charts, and possibly Drake’s psyche, ablaze.

The accusations are wild enough to rival the drama of Not Like Us itself. Drake’s team claims UMG used bots, payola, and “voice assistant manipulation” to promote the track, creating a false narrative that it was outperforming reality.
